When any Spiritual movement or religion does not examine and challenge the social economic forces that support growing poverty then it is only just another form of escapism.  The house of suncreed is a spiritual way in life.  We don’t have hard and fast rules, we don’t try to convert others, and we certainly don’t believe anybody should be hated or prosecuted because they don’t believe the same thing we do.   The decency of human rights should not be compromised. It’s the struggle which makes you sharp.  We are calling you. With all our goals our very soul. We’re not falling through. The trust in our faith, the tears and our ways is drowning so.  We cannot always show it, but don't doubt our love... As an activist we are advocating, the Power of Love,This is what Matters!

 Despite any vast majestic mountain peaks  or lush rivers,  BarBaDos  remains still simply  beautiful.  Maybe it’s the creative survivalist spirit of a populace—scarred by  slavery—or the soca music of the  sun rhythms, or the emphatical grace emanating from each soul.   The responsibility of the Bajan as regards to national culture is also a responsibility with regard to African-Heritage culture.  Fortunately, history is no longer just in the realm of one twisted perspective.  In the sweep of time and of history, the conquest of the west was just a blip.   And now the sun is shining and the weather/ocean is sweet.  So  awake from your sleep and slumber;  we've got the waves to rescue you all year.  We like it like this because it satisfies the Soul and care..

Life can be intense in the heat and noise, so it was a relief to arrive at my accommodation.  The name Camelot may recall the 16th century, but in fact the architectural décor is modern, breathtakingly beautiful. The south coast on Hastings.  Amazing. The Harvesting of a bounty Crop within fields of dazzling creation.   On the subject of freedom of speech and expression, we are pleased to see  around the Caribbean a reality that there must be limits and responsibility when exercising one’s right to freely express one’s thoughts and imagination.  One love.

The Cultural expression defines life. The Rastafarian entity was born out of a mindful society. It is fully compatible with democracy and liberalism.  Its basic philosophy opposes any authoritarian or totalitarian system. Rastafari looks to the basic values of justice love and liberty. These are perceived as "primary values," as positive independent virtues. What many people do not comprehend is the fact that Rastafari is not a religion, but a way of life.  We defend truth and right. In a righteous light that’s where your conscience leads you.

It is  reality that inhalation of all smoke is poisonous to the body. These substances are brought into contact with  this delicate membrane (lungs, mouth, nose and related passages), which readily allows the poisons to pass through into the blood.  The smoker cannot escape the poison.   The House of Rain does not advocate  smoking of ganja as tenet to be Rastafari.  However,  freedom of speech without condemnation is of paramount importance in our perspective. The mainstream European media highlights an opinion that the Rastafarian culture:  A particular hairstyle, the smoking of marijuana / Ganga and only open to reggae music. ---These are some of the false images and readings they blindly promote into what this way of life represents.  We have to put things into context and understand that there are revelations around all this. When these people promote these images—in their media about Jah love, they’re opening a critical window. They’re centralizing the Rastafarian belief, and so we must rise to change the mentality..........The natural manifestations of what’s within basically--a divine conception of heart and Soul.  The basic human rights, free speech and religious liberty. This perception  has never abused women or instigated any wars. Its highest objective is peace. The entity of Rastafari doesn’t tolerate any hatred of a person because of  color or creed.  As these are taken to be the direction of demons and destruction.   I must say,   black and white as forms of speech, as means of judging mankind, should be eliminated from human society.   Democratic principles are not disputable-----Accountability: Rule of law: Equal citizenship: Universal suffrage: Separation of Power.

From the very start African people had profoundly shaped the Caribbean’s politics, its culture, social identity and its very way of life. But like the African Americans the Afro Barbadians have been force to struggle for racial equality right through to the present day. Calypso, soca and the spoken-word artists of today are still determined to keep racial discrimination in the consciousness of their generation and eradicate it from the society for ever. Racism, sexism was and still is a fundamental part of the fabric of the Caribbean society...will that ever change? Judging from the Afro Bajan intellectuals today—may be it will and perhaps then we’ll see a brighter gem of the Caribbean.                         Ty AJANI.
